Material, surface and intention.
Every piece begins as a conversation with the material rather than a predefined design. Ziricote was chosen for its remarkable figure, where dark lines and warm tones create a landscape that cannot be repeated.
The form was shaped, refined and finished entirely by hand, allowing the character of the wood to guide each decision. No attempt was made to impose perfect symmetry where the material suggested otherwise.
This object belongs to The First One Hundred, the inaugural series of the LIGNORAE atelier. It represents the beginning of a long journey dedicated to creating sculptural writing instruments that unite craftsmanship, natural materials and quiet permanence.
Like every LIGNORAE object, this piece carries its own provenance and will forever remain part of the atelier’s archive.
