Material, surface and intention.

Honduran Rosewood has long been admired for its remarkable warmth, deep reddish-brown character and naturally expressive grain. Rather than competing with these qualities, No. 8 was designed to allow them to remain at the centre of the experience.
Every curve follows a traditional silhouette that feels immediately familiar in the hand. The proportions are calm, balanced and intentionally restrained, allowing the material itself to become the defining element.
Fine dark grain travels continuously across the body, interrupted only by polished gold-plated details that introduce warmth without distraction. Wood and metal complement one another naturally, each enhancing the character of the other.
The surface is protected with Renaissance Wax, preserving the tactile quality of real timber instead of concealing it beneath a heavy synthetic coating. With time and regular use, the finish develops a subtle patina unique to its owner.
Handcrafted in the LIGNORAE atelier in Munich, No. 8 is intended to become quieter with the years—not because it changes less, but because it gradually becomes part of the hand that writes with it.
