The First One Hundred
No. 13
Warm honey-toned wood meets dark gunmetal details in a restrained, balanced composition. The gently tapered body preserves the natural movement of the grain, giving the piece a calm, tactile character without unnecessary ornament.
This writing instrument is defined by contrast rather than excess.

Object notes
Material, surface and intention.
This writing instrument is defined by contrast rather than excess.
The wood carries a quiet range of golden, amber and softly darkened tones, with a grain that changes subtly as the piece turns in the hand. Its surface remains visually natural, allowing small variations in colour and fibre to become part of the object rather than something to be concealed.
Dark gunmetal fittings frame the material with a cooler, more architectural presence. Against them, the warmth of the wood becomes more pronounced, while the gold-toned nib introduces a measured point of light at the centre of the composition.
The body is shaped with a gentle taper and clean transitions, giving the instrument a composed silhouette and a comfortable, grounded feel. Hand-finished in the LIGNORAE atelier, it is a piece built around proportion, material honesty and everyday use.
