Zebrano (Microberlinia brazzavillensis) is one of nature's most distinctive hardwoods, instantly recognizable by its dramatic striped grain. In this piece, fine antique gold paste has naturally settled into the wood's pores and darker veins, revealing subtle golden reflections that come alive in sunlight without overshadowing the timber's own character. Fitted with a Bock No. 6 Medium nib, this fountain pen celebrates the natural beauty of wood through understated craftsmanship.

Material, surface and intention.
Zebrano (Microberlinia brazzavillensis) is a hardwood unlike almost any other. Its bold, contrasting grain creates a rhythm of warm golden tones and deep brown stripes, giving every piece an unmistakable identity. No two pens can ever be alike.
For this fountain pen, the wood has been carefully enriched with a delicate antique gold paste. Rather than covering the surface, the gold gently penetrates the wood's natural pores and grain, where it catches the light and creates subtle shimmering reflections in direct sunlight. It is not decoration for its own sake, but a quiet enhancement of what nature has already created.
The shape remains clean and balanced, allowing the wood to remain the true focal point. Brushed stainless steel details complement the warm organic tones without competing for attention, while a Bock No. 6 Medium nib provides a smooth, reliable writing experience suitable for everyday use as well as longer writing sessions.
Every LIGNORAE fountain pen is individually handcrafted. The grain, colour transitions and golden highlights are unique to each piece, making this instrument a singular expression of natural material and patient craftsmanship.
